Ted Bowley

Ted Bowley has been with Carter Logistics for 23 years in various roles, his current role is the Director of Sales, which is responsible for the Southeast sales territory and managing other sales personnel. When he first came to Carter Logistics, Ted was a Logistics Analyst and soon took over the department and grew the team. He then became manager of Customer Service and then assumed the role of Director of Logistics services, which he implemented the TMS software, was responsible for administration, invoicing and analysis of current and proposed business.

Before joining Carter, Ted attended Wabash College and was a member of the NAIA Championship football team, then later transferring to Ball State University, earning a degree in accounting. From there he went to Conseco, LLC to working the financial accounting department, responsible for month end close and financial analysis for a publically traded company. From there he took a position of staff accountant at a CPA firm Frontier Financial where he worked on monthly financials, corporate tax and personal tax matters. Finally, (what got Ted a taste of trucking and logistics) he took a position with a trucking company, Burlington Motor Carriers where he was a senior staff account responsible for month end financials, month end accruals and internal auditing.

On a personal level Ted has been involved in coaching the youth football in his community for over 7 years and served on the board for the school wrestling team. Recently, he has also been engaged with the Leadership Academy of Madison County, which connects servant leaders who build better communities. He also enjoys automobiles with restoration and attending events.
