What is a Braindate?

Automotive Logistics & Supply Chain Global is built on the collective exchange of ideas across the automotive ecosystem. To deepen these critical industry conversations, we are partnering with Braindate, a platform structured to deepen those conversations through focused, attendee-led discussions.

Instead of traditional, generalised networking, Braindate allows participants to pre-schedule targeted 30-minute 1-to-1 meetings and 45-minute small group discussions. These collaborative sessions focus on real-world automotive supply chain priorities, including inbound/outbound logistics, manufacturing coordination, multi-tier supplier visibility, and digital transformation.

How to Braindate:

1. Complete your profile: Add in your information, key areas of expertise and interests.

2. Explore existing topics: Browse through key themes linked to agenda themes, from multi-tier visibility to AI integration.

3. Book a 1-to-1 and group meeting:

• For 1-to-1s: Browse the Topic Market page or People tab to find someone you’d like to connect with. Click “Meet” to propose times to meet. If you wish to set up a private one-on-one meeting, you can easily do that through the People tab. Find the participant you'd like to connect with, click Meet, and then propose either an interest or a topic to explore together, along with times to meet.
• For group meetings: "Book a Spot" in small-group conversations to brainstorm and problem-solve alongside multiple peers or post your own topic by clicking "New Topic".

4. Meet onsite: Head to the Braindate Lounge at your scheduled time, where our Learning Concierges will welcome you and introduce you to your matches. Discussion times are a guide, so if the conversation is flowing, stay and keep talking!

Braindate etiquette & ground rules

• Be polite: Adopt a beginner's mindset, make sure everyone introduces themselves and contributes to the discussion.
• Be respectful: Braindates are about building and nourishing communities through knowledge exchange in an open and inclusive space. Behaviour that makes other participants uncomfortable will not be tolerated.
• Be upfront: Be clear about your topic and honest about your own involvement related to the topic. Pitching your topic with sincerity is the easiest way to start a meaningful conversation, be it selling a product, offering a job opportunity or promoting your services.
• Be realistic: Don't book a braindate unless you are genuinely interested in the topic.
• Show up: Don't leave your braindate hanging! Send a message if something comes up.
• Don't be late: Make sure you are ready to meet your Braindate(s) on time. You can opt in to receive email and/or SMS reminders in your profile settings.
• Give the meeting your full attention: Braindates require that you contribute to the conversation. Please ensure you book your braindate at a time that you are free and are able to commit 100% of your attention.
• Prepare in advance: Braindates are only 30 to 45 minutes long, so consider bringing your prepared questions and any additional resources you may need to have a great Braindate.
