Michael Schwaeble, Vice-President for Logistics at Rivian.

Rivian appointed Michael Schwaeble in early 2026 to lead its end-to-end logistics and supply chain management functions. He is overseeing the supply chain as the carmaker launches new models and prepares to launch production at its new plant in Stanton Springs North, Georgia, set for late 2028.

He served most recently as Vice-President for Supply Chain North America at Mercedes-Benz US International, where he led logistics and supply chain across the carmaker’s US production and North American supply chain, and held previous roles in the region in supply chain planning and engineering. He worked at Mercedes-Benz since 2007 across pivotal roles in capacity management, quality assurance, and international supply chain operations spanning the US, China, and Germany.

Known for his entrepreneurial spirit and cross-cultural competencies, Michael Schwaeble has been recognised with multiple national negotiation awards and is committed to developing high-performing teams and advancing automotive trends. His skills include decision-making, empathy, problem-solving, and analytical strength.

Originally from Germany, Michael is married with two children and has a deep-rooted passion for nature and culture. He holds a Master of Science in Economics with a minor in Agricultural Engineering. With proficiency in several languages, he has cultivated a rich international background.
