Cynthia Boelstler leads transportation and logistics strategy and procurement for BorgWarner, working with the plants across North America and Europe to drive savings, set strategies and provide solutions to improve efficiency. She manages relationships with BorgWarner’s logistics partners and plays key roles in supplier risk monitoring and exploring digitalisation and automation opportunities. 

She has worked for more than 20 years at BorgWarner and has held roles across supply chain, engineering, program management and direct materials, where she worked to create global purchasing strategies for direct materials that optimised the supply base, reduced total cost and improved supplier performance.  She transitioned to transportation and logistics focus ten years ago. 

Prior to BorgWarner, Cynthia Boelstler worked at tier-1 suppliers including TRW and Allied Signal/Siemens in various engineering, operations, and account management roles. Shas a Mechanical Engineering degree from Lawrence Technological University and an Executive MBA from Michigan State University.
